Develop and implement cloud strategies aligned with business objectives
Design and document cloud solutions, including architecture diagrams and technical specifications
Build and deploy production systems in AWS, leveraging services for compute, storage, databases and networking
Identify opportunities to optimize cloud spending and resource utilization, ensuring cost-effective solutions
Implement and maintain security best practices, including data protection, access control, and compliance with relevant regulations
Monitor cloud solutions for performance issues and troubleshoot problems
Ensure high availability and scalability of systems
Provide technical guidance to teams on AWS services, best practices, and emerging technologies
Explore and recommend innovative solutions to improve business operations and automate processes using AWS
Effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences and collaborate with various teams
Experience and expertise in migration to AWS from DC
Actively shape the overall technical vision for MAPFRE
Build and lead high-performing architect teams, mentoring and coaching junior, mid-level, and potentially senior architects

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field
15+ years of experience in relevant programming languages and software development principles
Experience in building and leading high-performing architect teams is preferred
Deep experience and understanding of AWS, IaaS and PaaS/SaaS services, including Kubernetes, compute, storage, networking, databases, security, and management tools
Proven experience in designing and implementing cloud solutions, including migration strategies
Knowledge of cloud security best practices, including IAM, security groups, and encryption
Understanding of networking concepts, including VPCs, subnets, and routing
Strong knowledge of IaC (Terraform, Ansible) and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Shell)
