About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Perform quality inspections of incoming and coated cutting tools under a microscope to identify defects and ensure compliance with quality standards
  • Document and report inspection results accurately
  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to address quality issues and improve processes
  • Operate ancillary equipment to post process the diamond coated product for improved function and appearance
  • Maintain the work area in accordance with lab cleanliness and safety standards
  • Assist with logistics, including inventory tracking, shipment preparation, and receiving goods
  • Maintain detailed records of quality checks, tool status, and shipping/receiving activities
  • Operate and maintain quality inspection tools and microscopes
  • Utilize basic Microsoft Office Suite software (Excel, Word, Outlook) for documentation and communication
  • Follow established procedures for quality assurance and safety standards
  • Assist with other duties as assigned to support overall production and logistics

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training is a plus
  • Previous experience in quality assurance, tool inspection, or a similar role preferred, 3+ years
  • Ability to work under a microscope for extended periods with a high degree of precision
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality
  • Proficiency in basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to perform basic logistics tasks, such as inventory management and shipping preparation
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work both independently and in a team environment
  • Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and tools is a plus
