Senior Partnership Development Officer
MAP InternationalSenior Partnership Development Officer building and managing nonprofit partner relationships for medicine distribution. Focus on retention, revenue growth, and compliance while overseeing global partnership operations.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop, maintain, and grow an assigned portfolio of program partners that distribute MAP medicines and supplies for rehabilitation, relief, and long-term health programs.
- Strengthen retention and growth among agencies serving long-term health programs through regular communication, responsive service, and visits in the US and internationally.
- Manage major assigned program accounts to consistently meet or exceed annual service-fee revenue goals.
- Identify and secure new partnerships, with at least 10%–15% of personal revenue generated from new partners.
- Allocate donated and purchased inventory to meet partner requests across multiple countries, ensuring shipments align with formulary and product dating requirements.
- Review and accept pharmaceutical donation offers in collaboration with appropriate team members, considering therapeutic classification, product dating, volume, known encumbrances, and current inventory at the MAP Distribution Center.
- Ensure each portfolio partner is properly screened and that eligibility forms are updated annually in accordance with MAP standards, ACCORD, and WHO guidelines.
- Assist with annual fiscal-year budget planning for the Long-Term Health Development department.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in a related field required.
- Minimum of three years of experience in international medicines distribution required.
- Experience traveling internationally and working across diverse geographic regions and cultures preferred.
- Portfolio management experience in a faith-based or humanitarian mission setting preferred.
- Builds strong, trust-based relationships with partners and participants; demonstrates a customer-first mindset by keeping stakeholders supported, informed, and engaged.
- Works effectively with minimal supervision, manages multiple priorities, remains persistent, and meets tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Maintains excellent organizational habits, strong time-management skills, and careful attention to detail while balancing operational, partnership, and production responsibilities.
- Communicates clearly and effectively in writing and verbally; presents, negotiates, and represents MAP’s mission with confidence in diverse settings.
- Uses technology effectively as a management tool, including inventory systems, online platforms, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Able and willing to travel in the US and internationally, sometimes with minimal advance notice, and work across diverse geographic and cultural contexts.
- Demonstrates deep alignment with MAP’s values, a growth mindset, and a commitment to representing the organization with integrity.
