About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own cross-vendor consistency, performance management, and governance across the full Print & Post vendor ecosystem
  • Establish an enterprise governance layer over vendor management across Print & Post
  • Establish and maintain standardized vendor specifications and consistency, including envelopes, base stock, and SKU rationalization
  • Develop and manage vendor performance frameworks, scorecards, QBR cadence/reporting, and SLA measurement
  • Own the continuity/backup standard and documentation of backups and cross-training across P&P
  • Standardize vendor invoice formats and data feeds to enable reconciliation and automation
  • Monitor cross-vendor performance trends and drive corrective actions
  • Support vendor strategy, RFP readiness, and consolidation opportunities with Procurement
  • Identify cost, efficiency, and continuous-improvement opportunities across vendors
  • Partner with production managers, who retain ownership of day-to-day vendor execution within their domains

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Experience in vendor governance, performance management, procurement, or supplier management
  • Strong analytical and framework-building capability, including scorecards, SLAs, and QBRs
  • Experience driving standardization and continuous improvement across multiple suppliers
  • Stakeholder management capability
  • Developing people leadership capability
  • Print, mail, or production vendor experience preferred, or demonstrable ability to ramp quickly
  • Experience with RFP processes, vendor consolidation, and contract/performance governance preferred
  • Manulife/insurance or financial-services industry context preferred
  • Knowledge of Print/Post foundations; finance and job-costing; materials and inventory; data, billing and reconciliation; compliance and data privacy; digital adoption; continuity and backup; SLA and delivery performance
  • Understanding of No Touch Workflow, Digital First—not Digital Only, Assertive & Proactive, Sound Judgment, and Disciplined Escalation principles
