About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design the AKS cluster model for the Canadian segment
Implement infrastructure improvements with zero disruption to business operations
Build an integrated end-to-end application development experience by combining team-owned AKS clusters with partner capabilities
Integrate CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, logging, risk controls, and security services
Automate cluster maintenance, operational workflows, and routine processes using Infrastructure-as-Code and AI-assisted tooling
Identify opportunities to reduce manual effort, improve reliability, and enhance deployment efficiency
Ensure compliance with enterprise risk and security standards across cluster design, operations, and governance
Monitor and maintain AKS cluster health, performance, scalability, and security
Partner with application development teams to meet business and technical needs
Collaborate with capability-owner teams to align standards, integrate services, and deliver a cohesive platform experience
Maintain relationships with business partners and shared technology teams to align governance, roadmaps, and service delivery

Requirements

What you’ll need

Experience in cloud computing; Azure strongly preferred
Expertise in automation and Infrastructure-as-Code, including Terraform, Bicep, or ARM
Experience using AI-assisted engineering tools such as GitHub Copilot or Azure OpenAI
Experience operating or supporting shared platform services, such as Kubernetes clusters, CI/CD systems, observability platforms, or security/risk tooling
Strong understanding of networking and security concepts
Experience with Identity and Access Management, including Azure AD, RBAC, and workload identity
Proficiency with cloud networking infrastructure and distributed system patterns
Hands-on experience with API gateways and cloud-based architectures
Strong system administration background
Scripting/programming proficiency in PowerShell, Bash, Python, or similar
Experience with containers and Kubernetes; AKS experience is an asset
