About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support the development and continuous improvement of services and features offered by Manulife John Hancock Retirement
  • Understand and support the vision for the project portfolio across all client segments
  • Act in a thought leadership capacity to stay ahead of trends, regulatory guidelines, and technological forces
  • Manage the new idea intake process for internal stakeholders, acting as one of the primary points of contact
  • Support the exploration of ideas by applying relevant market research and customer feedback
  • Contribute to the creation of north star experiences and identification of key differentiators
  • Support the development of business cases and other product artifacts for approval
  • Work closely with the Product Analysis team and SMEs to understand impacts and requirements
  • Support the ongoing management of the portfolio roadmap and annual planning activities
  • Prepare reporting and regular updates for leadership
  • Support the internal and external rollout of features and execution of communication strategy

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5+ years of experience in the retirement industry
  • Creative and innovative thinker with a results-oriented approach
  • Knowledge of the retirement industry, competitive dynamics and trends
  • Knowledge of channel-specific dynamics (broker/dealer, TPA, plan sponsor, participant)
  • Knowledge of the ERISA and FINRA regulatory environment and DOL guidelines
  • Excellent communication, organizational skills
