About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Deliver actionable insights by creating and managing ad hoc queries and reports from various data sources to support organizational decision-making
- Design and implement dashboards that provide real-time visibility into key metrics
- Collaborate with teams to identify reporting needs, streamline data visualization, and drive a culture of data-informed decision-making
- Develop and implement a comprehensive data strategy to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability
- Identify and address gaps between current data and the desired state through data cleansing, enrichment, and validation processes
- Establish robust governance standards to maintain integrity and compliance
- Play a key role in the adoption of new systems and technologies to support operational efficiency
- Identify opportunities to improve workflows and reduce manual effort
- Lead and project manage initiatives that enhance operational efficiency and drive business growth
- Investigate operational related problems/inquiries, recommending and implementing solutions
- Develop business requirement documents and specifications
- Analyze data and work with management to develop creative solutions
Requirements
What you’ll need- Expert level experience with PowerBI
- Hands-on experience with large-scale systems in software engineering
- Familiarity with big data processing and building data APIs
- Experience with automated data quality frameworks is a plus
- Advanced working SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases and SQL
- Experience working with cloud native architecture (PaaS) using Azure stack preferably
- Experience with Azure ML, DataBricks (Spark), Azure Data Factory will be an asset
- Experience in building ETL pipelines to perform feature engineering on large-scale dataset using Spark
- Good understanding of project management methodologies and workflow design
- Ability to influence and negotiate with others to meet project deadlines
- Understanding of system design and analysis and user testing
- Strong organization, communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to cultivate relationships with key stakeholders representing a broad range of functions and levels
- Demonstrated understanding of issues relevant to business unit
- Strong problem-solving skills and analytical ability
