About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Oversee and challenge the fraud risk management strategy across US and Canada segments
- Guide fraud prevention, operations, and investigations to ensure alignment with corporate objectives
- Enhance Manulife's global fraud risk management program and ensure regulatory compliance
- Develop and implement comprehensive fraud monitoring programs and collaborate with cross-functional leaders
- Provide oversight and challenge to ensure fraud risk management practices are robust and aligned with strategic objectives
- Utilize knowledge of fraud detection and prevention technologies to enhance organization’s capabilities
- Support regional and local compliance teams in deploying effective fraud management strategies
- Drive best-practice and ensure standardization, automation, and process improvements across markets
- Cultivate relationships with US and Canada regulators to influence fraud risk landscape
Requirements
What you’ll need- 8+ years of experience in Financial Crime and/or Fraud risk management, AML/ATF, compliance, or risk management
- Track record in designing, developing, and implementing large-scale, standardized, risk management systems and processes
- Experience with a large financial institution operating globally is advantageous
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex fraud and regulatory concepts in business terms
- Track record of using various persuasive techniques and utilizing frameworks to drive changes to business processes and outcomes
- Experience in supporting regulatory engagement and reporting
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively
- A stakeholder-oriented approach to managing relationships and collaborating across business units and functional departments, with an energetic and service-oriented style
- Proactive, results-oriented individual with the ability to balance multiple priorities and projects
