Bilingual Vocational Rehabilitation Specialist
ManulifeBilingual Vocational Rehabilitation Specialist helping Plan Members return to alternate occupations. Responsible for providing vocational assessments and creating personalized rehabilitation strategies.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide vocational rehabilitation services to eligible members of the Canadian Armed Forces.
- Facilitate return-to-work strategies in collaboration with clients, colleagues, and care providers.
- Coordinate activities with healthcare professionals.
- Manage a rehabilitation caseload covering Quebec City and surrounding areas.
- Budget management and planning for return-to-work programs.
- Conduct mediation and negotiation sessions as necessary.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Related University degree; preference for Health Sciences education focusing on Psychology, Counseling, or Nursing.
- Professional recognition like ARP or CCRC is an asset.
- Extensive vocational rehabilitation experience (5 years) or several years of active rehabilitation experience.
- Sound knowledge of Rehabilitation Industry Standards, Disability Insurance, and medical terminology.
- Fully bilingual (French/English).
- Experience managing budgets in a professional setting.
- Valid driver's license and car required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Comfortable giving presentations to large groups.
