About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Work with Manulife’s Third Party Providers of emergency medical assistance.
- Make final claims decisions and business decisions on contested claims.
- Handle travel litigated claims and correspond with legal counsel.
- Investigate, resolve, and respond to escalated complaints.
- Conduct monthly audits of travel claims processed by Third Party Providers.
- Provide input on contract wording for new and existing products.
Requirements
What you’ll need- 3-5 years’ experience in adjudication claims, preferably life, health or travel
- Proven analytical, problem solving, decision making, and negotiation skills
- University degree in any discipline or equivalent work experience (preferred)
- Knowledge of medical terminology, medications and their applications, diseases, tests, and treatment modes is an asset
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with a high level of professionalism
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to effectively prioritize competing tasks
- Bilingualism (English and French) is an asset
