About the role

  • Reporting into the Head of US Retirement Finance, the Director role will serve as a strategic finance partner to the Retirement business leadership team.\n
  • This role is responsible for translating business strategies into actionable financial forecasts, providing insights that drive decision-making, and ensuring alignment between financial performance and business objectives.\n
  • The ideal candidate will bring a strong blend of financial competence, business partnership, and analytical expertise to support growth, profitability, and operational efficiency across the Retirement business.\n
  • Position Responsibilities:\n
  • Partner with Retirement business leaders to translate strategic initiatives into financial forecasts and long-range plans\n
  • Prepare and communicate actual and forecasted financial results, including variance analysis and tracking key performance indicators\n
  • Evaluate product-level profitability and support pricing strategies to ensure margin hurdles are met\n
  • Provide financial insights to support product development, pricing decisions, and go-to-market strategies.\n
  • Monitor and analyze operating expenses, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities for cost optimization\n
  • Collaborate with business divisions to ensure disciplined expense management and accountability\n
  • Act as a trusted advisor to business leaders, providing financial guidance and strategic support.\n
  • Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement

Requirements

  • University degree in Finance, Accounting, or equivalent\n
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in financial planning & analysis, preferably within the retirement, insurance, or financial services industry\n
  • Proven experience in business partnering and strategic financial leadership\n
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights\n
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization\n
  • Deep understanding of financial modeling, forecasting, and profitability analysis\n
  • Strategic problem solver with a proactive approach\n
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and facilitate change\n
  • High integrity, accountability, and a commitment to excellence
