About the role
- Supporting the production of financial reports and analysis for the Canadian Ops function
- Supporting the annual financial planning process and monthly forecasting for the Operations function
- Performing key financial analysis for the Canadian COO, CFOs, and GMs
- Producing in-depth analyses/forecasting/recommendations for targeted expense items, cost benefit analyses, vendor analyses, offshoring assessments, and staffing models
- Supporting the Ops Strategy team including financial analysis and advice for critical initiatives
- Working to continuously improve processes to gain efficiency in production, standardize and enhance quality of information
Requirements
- Professional accounting designation (CPA, CA, CGA, CMA) preferred with 5+ years of related experience
- Strong Financial planning & analysis experience and financial modeling skills
- Knowledge of sound business practices and controls, and accounting/audit principles
- Strong attention to detail, critical thinking, and analytical problem-solving
- Excellent communication, relationship management, and collaboration across all levels
- Proven ability to influence, negotiate, and lead with transparency
- Skilled in simplifying complex concepts and engaging senior collaborators
- Good knowledge in accounting and systems (IFRS, SmartView and PowerBI preferred)
- Strong project management skills
