About the role
- Define and execute the sales strategy for automation solutions across Ireland.
- Lead, manage, and mentor the automation sales team, fostering a high-performance culture.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and strategic partners.
- Drive business development activities, including identifying and pursuing new opportunities.
- Conduct market analysis, with a focus on competitor insights, to guide business growth strategies.
- Collaborate closely with Program Technical Directors and other senior leaders to ensure seamless client engagement and delivery alignment.
- Represent MMT at client meetings, industry events, and conferences.
- Deliver accurate sales forecasts, pipeline management, and performance reporting to executive leadership.
- Travel regularly between Galway and Cork sites, ensuring strong visibility and leadership across both locations.
Requirements
- Proven leadership experience in sales, ideally at Director or Senior Manager level, within automation or related high-tech industries.
- Strong track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets in automation solutions.
- Excellent commercial acumen with the ability to translate technical solutions into customer value.
- Deep understanding of the Irish and European automation/medical device market landscape.
- Demonstrated ability to recruit, develop, and lead high-performing sales teams.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
- Flexibility to travel frequently between MMT’s Galway and Cork offices and to client sites as required.
