About the role
- Lead product engineering activities for new product launches and product modifications from concept through release
- Coordinate Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) activities related to R&D projects
- Define product fit, form, and function based on customer technical requirements and application needs
- Develop product designs including drawings, CAD models, prototype builds, and validation plans
- Plan and execute material, dimensional, and performance testing to ensure compliance with OEM specifications and internal standards
- Analyze validation results and provide technical recommendations for product approval, launch, or design changes
- Collaborate with Sales and Product Management to support OEM, private label, and internal customers with technical expertise
- Interface with customers and suppliers to review designs, test results, cost optimization initiatives, and technical concerns
- Create and modify 3D CAD models and drawings (Pro-E / Creo or SolidWorks) in accordance with company design standards
- Provide technical support to Manufacturing for production inquiries and to Quality for customer complaint resolution
- Ensure product functionality and durability meet intended application requirements
- Maintain accurate project documentation in accordance with company systems and procedures
- Lead cost reduction and continuous improvement initiatives
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Materials Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Strong understanding and application of engineering principles
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
- Knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet timing requirements
- Knowledge of filtration or filter manufacturing processes (preferred)
- Program or project management experience (preferred)
- Proficiency in 3D solid modeling (CAD) (preferred)
