About the role
- The Pro Bono Practice Immigration Attorney will help establish Manifest’s pro bono immigration practice.
- Conduct consultations with individuals seeking legal advice for deportation and asylum matters.
- Explain eligibility standards, evidentiary requirements, risks, and timelines in clear language.
- Provide practical recommendations regarding next steps.
- Conduct risk analysis based on current law and agency guidance.
- Collaborate with operations and leadership to ensure compliance and quality control.
- Support the development of structured workflows for the pro bono practice.
Requirements
- Active membership in good standing with the Arizona Bar (required).
- Minimum 3+ years of experience practicing immigration law, with extensive asylum and deportation experience.
- Demonstrated experience handling or advising on these matters.
- Strong consultation skills and ability to assess cases efficiently and accurately.
- Working knowledge of evidentiary standards, country conditions analysis, and credibility considerations.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented.
- Comfortable working in a remote environment with autonomy.
