About the role
- Conduct consultations with prospective clients and provide clear, confident explanations of Manifest’s services and process.
- Evaluate prospective clients for extraordinary ability and high-skilled immigration pathways, including EB-1A, EB-2 NIW, O-1A, and related categories.
- Communicate in a way that feels calm, professional, and supportive, even when clients are anxious or unfamiliar with immigration terminology.
- Explain complex legal concepts in simple, accessible language to clients from diverse backgrounds and countries.
- Review client information during consultations, assess viability, and classify case strength (e.g., strong / moderate / weak / unclear).
- Identify key indicators of high potential (e.g., strong publications, awards, high-profile work, strong salary, press, critical roles, membership, judging, original contributions).
- Identify common red flags, missing information, credibility issues, or factors that weaken case strategy.
- Provide clear next-step guidance, including whether a client should proceed, reposition, or not move forward.
- Make strong, fast judgment calls on fit and communicate decisions with clarity and empathy.
- Capture clear consultation notes and recommendations in the firm’s systems.
- Ensure lead data is complete and consistent for follow-up and downstream workflow.
- Maintain clean records so nothing falls through the cracks.
- Track and flag high-priority candidates or time-sensitive cases.
Requirements
- 5+ years of law practice experience, with significant exposure to U.S. business immigration.
- Strong working knowledge of extraordinary ability and high-skilled categories, including EB-1A, EB-2 NIW, O-1A, and related strategies.
- Fast learner. You keep up with changing government policies and can quickly identify a proposed policy’s or regulation’s potential real-life impacts to applicants.
- Deep comfort assessing candidacy quickly and accurately across a wide range of professional profiles.
- Exceptional communication skills. You are crisp, warm, confident, and highly articulate.
- Strong judgment and triage ability: you can quickly interpret a profile, assess case strength, and recommend the right next step.
- Highly personable and emotionally intelligent. You know how to build trust quickly and make clients feel heard.
- Ability to clearly explain complex legal ideas in simple language to clients.
- Organized and reliable.
- Comfortable working in a high-volume consultation environment.
- Ability to work independently, maintain professionalism, and represent the firm with polish and confidence.
