Requirements
- BSc or MSc in chemical engineering, chemistry, materials science/engineering, mechanical engineering, or related fields.
- 3+ years industrial experience in membranes evaluations/development, electrochemical engineering, and system/component failure analysis.
- Hands-on experience in the ion exchange membranes testing, analysis, and electrochemical characterizations.
- Utilize statistical design of experiments to optimize resource use and enhance data quality.
- Analyze results through thorough and rigorous statistical methods.
- Experience in materials characterization techniques (e.g., XRD, SEM, EDX, AFM, FTIR, …).
- Experienced in identifying membranes failure mechanisms in electrochemical processes.
- Experience dealing with developing or conducting tests using accelerated degradation protocols.
- Experience in cyclic voltammetry, impedance spectroscopy, potentiostatic and galvanostatic testing and durability testing of electrochemical components.
- Experience in electrolyzer/fuel cell testing and optimization toward performance and durability improvement.
- Experience working in R&D and product development environments.
- Excellent critical thinking, analysis, problem-solving and communications skills.
- Ability to interact with a wide range of scientists and engineers.
- Be a registered professional with Engineers and Geoscientists BC or have the ability to readily become one.
