Business Development Director, Tobacco

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- ownership of business contribution for direct accounts, customer and industry relationships, strategic account planning, identification of innovation needs, customer contact, and communication
- establish sustained profitable growth in the Tobacco/Nicotine Segment resulting in market superiority
- leads MANE’s customer-facing activities in the areas of key target accounts and customer relationships
- direct responsibility for a group of key target accounts, maintaining a portfolio, building relationships, and developing account strategies
- directly responsible as the CEO of these accounts
- works closely with the sales, applications, and marketing teams to provide the “customer and market voice”
- assists in developing overall market strategy and new market identification and planning
- deliver against a clear, integrated market-focused strategy developed by the Category
- establish competitive pricing that supports corporate objectives
- work with functional managers to optimize strategic plans
- identify opportunities to differentiate MANE in the marketplace
Requirements
What you’ll need- Must understand the appropriate level of urgency based on the needs of the customer and the alignment with the Tobacco/Nicotine Category goals
- Must demonstrate urgency and responsiveness to address customer and business group needs expeditiously and effectively
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining the ability to redirect efforts based upon shifting demands
- Ability to collaborate and network with business colleagues to build constructive, proactive working relationships across the organization
- Provides optimistic, enthusiastic, innovative customer leadership skills to MANE GBTU
- Facilitate teamwork to provide solutions that exceed customer’s expectations for quality and service
- Develops and implements proactive customer technical relationship building strategies including regular personal contact
- Must be able to communicate (verbal and written) those technical aspects pertaining to the Market in understandable terms for customers (internal and external)
- Software proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, CRM systems
- Ability to work with all tools above without direction
