About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

As a member of our Professional Services department, the Senior Systems Engineer helps design and deliver scopes of work related to client IT environments.
Provides senior consultative services and project work for Professional Services clients
Responsible for designing, implementing, and remedying complex technology solutions in two or more expert areas
Acts as a presales consult to help a client identify appropriate solutions, determine project scope, tasks, and budget requirements
Acts as project lead for assigned projects, directing others in completing project tasks according to project scopes
Acts as a mentor to help develop the skillsets of Project Engineers and others

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelors’ degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field
Minimum of 8 years’ experience providing engineering within a Microsoft environment
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a consultative capacity at a systems integrator/MSP/other IT vendor, including experience in presales, project scoping, and project implementation
High levels of project ownership and individual accountability in a results-oriented environment
Demonstrated experience as a project lead
Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and innovation
Demonstrated commitment to strong documentation and repeatable standards
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Technologies, including Exchange, Windows Server, Active Directory, and Office 365
Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
