About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own full commercial responsibility for selling the Malvern Panalytical portfolio in an allocated Swiss territory
- Manage the complete sales cycle, including prospecting, qualification, value selling, quotation, negotiation, and closing
- Achieve revenue, order intake, margin, and growth targets
- Maintain opportunity management, forecasting, and CRM discipline
- Deliver customer presentations, demonstrations, and commercial proposals
- Develop relationships with key accounts, strategic customers, and channel partners
- Understand customer workflows, decision drivers, and application needs
- Identify cross-selling opportunities across installed-base and new accounts
- Ensure customer satisfaction with Service, Applications, and Support teams
- Generate new opportunities and support sector-focused growth initiatives
- Analyze market trends, competitive developments, and customer needs
- Represent Malvern Panalytical at trade shows, customer events, seminars, and regional meetings
- Collaborate with Inside Sales, Marketing, Business Development, Service, Applications, channel partners, and distributors
- Contribute to regional forecasting, planning cycles, and business reviews
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Materials Science, or a related field
- Proven experience in B2B technical or capital equipment sales
- Track record of successfully managing complex sales cycles and key accounts
- Strong understanding of the Swiss market and customer expectations
- Experience working with CRM systems and structured sales methodologies
- Fluent in German and English
- French is an advantage
- Strong commercial acumen and customer-focused mindset
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Ability to work independently with high ownership and accountability
- Data-driven and structured approach to pipeline and forecast management
- Collaborative mindset and cross-functional thinking
- Willingness to travel approximately 50%
