Graduate Scrum Master
MAK-SYSTEMGraduate Scrum Master supporting Agile delivery across product teams at MAK-SYSTEM. Organizing Scrum ceremonies and fostering team collaboration in a hybrid environment.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Facilitation & Ceremony management
- Organise and facilitate core Scrum ceremonies: Daily Standups, Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives
- Maintain a consistent ceremony cadence and ensure meetings are purposeful and time-boxed
- Communicate clearly within the team and escalate impediments to the appropriate stakeholder when needed
- Team support & dynamics
- Observe and contribute to a positive, collaborative team environment
- Onboard new engineering team members to team ways of working and Agile practices
- Foster basic team discipline around agreed norms, sprint commitments, and delivery practices
- Tools & Delivery visibility
- Maintain work visibility in tools such as Jira, ensuring the board reflects current work and team status
- Track and report on basic team metrics including sprint progress, planned vs unplanned work, and velocity
- Collaboration & Cross-team coordination
- Work closely with the Product Owner, Head of Service, Team Lead and team members to support delivery
- Support Backlog refinement and Sprint planning sessions and contribute to Sprint readiness
- Identify and flag dependencies and coordination needs across teams
Requirements
What you’ll need- Degree in a relevant field (Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or similar)
- Demonstrated interest in Agile, Scrum, or project/delivery coordination
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Organised, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in fast-paced environments
- Exposure to Scrum or Agile frameworks through study, internship, or extracurricular experience (Desirable)
- Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, or similar (Desirable)
- Any Agile-related certification (e.g. PSM, PSPO, SAFe) is an advantage (Desirable)
