About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop and enhance IAM features across frontend and backend systems
- Build and optimize scalable authentication, authorization, and access-control services
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, and Engineers on intuitive identity experiences
- Write clean, testable, secure C# and TypeScript code
- Maintain self-serve technical documentation
- Participate in code reviews and architectural discussions
- Improve reliability and performance of IAM services
- Build, maintain, and optimize web and mobile product features using TypeScript, React, React Native, Node.js, C#, and GraphQL
- Own team features or systems and define their long-term health
- Improve surrounding systems
- Mentor other engineers and deeply review code
- Improve engineering standards, tooling, processes, and development, testing, and deployment practices
- Perform on-call duties
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum 3 years of professional experience in full-stack software development
- Strong programming skills in C# and/or TypeScript
- Experience building production-grade applications
- Familiarity with React and Node.js
- Understanding of modern web authentication patterns
- Interest in Identity and Access Management, including authentication, authorization, user provisioning, and permissions systems
- Experience designing and consuming REST or GraphQL APIs
- Proficient at writing understandable, maintainable, and testable code
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Expert level of English, spoken and written, required
- Ability to lead platform engineering managers across multiple teams, present technical priorities to executive stakeholders, and align with engineering leaders outside Québec daily
- Nice to have: experience with OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SAML, Okta, Azure AD, SCIM, JWT, PKCE, token exchange, encryption standards, SSL/TLS, public/private key infrastructure, React Native, Docker, Kubernetes, observability tools such as Datadog, AWS, Azure, GCP, CI/CD pipelines, and modern DevOps workflows
