About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Drive revenue growth, strengthen customer relationships, and expand presence within the telecommunications construction industry
  • Develop new business opportunities and maintain executive-level customer relationships
  • Identify market expansion opportunities and serve as the primary point of contact for key accounts
  • Build relationships with decision-makers at telecommunications providers, utilities, engineering firms, and prime contractors
  • Lead proposal development, pricing discussions, contract negotiations, and customer presentations
  • Conduct regular customer meetings and improve communication flow between customers and Mainline's operations team
  • Develop account growth strategies designed to increase wallet share and long-term customer retention
  • Establish trusted relationships with Director, VP, and executive-level customer contacts
  • Represent Mainline at industry events, conferences, customer meetings, and networking functions
  • Assist leadership in forecasting future revenue opportunities and market demand
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and pipeline reporting
  • Provide monthly business development updates, opportunity tracking, and revenue forecasts

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5+ years of telecommunications, utility, construction, or infrastructure industry experience
  • Demonstrated success generating new revenue and managing customer relationships
  • Existing industry network and relationships within fiber, telecom, broadband, utility, or construction markets
  • Strong negotiation and presentation skills
  • Ability to travel as required
  • Proven ability to work independently and produce measurable results
  • Preferred: Experience working with telecommunications providers, broadband operators, or utility companies
  • Knowledge of underground and aerial fiber construction programs
  • Experience managing multi-million-dollar customer accounts
  • Experience with CRM systems and sales pipeline management
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Construction Management, or related field
