About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Drive revenue growth, strengthen customer relationships, and expand presence within the telecommunications construction industry
- Develop new business opportunities and maintain executive-level customer relationships
- Identify market expansion opportunities and serve as the primary point of contact for key accounts
- Build relationships with decision-makers at telecommunications providers, utilities, engineering firms, and prime contractors
- Lead proposal development, pricing discussions, contract negotiations, and customer presentations
- Conduct regular customer meetings and improve communication flow between customers and Mainline's operations team
- Develop account growth strategies designed to increase wallet share and long-term customer retention
- Establish trusted relationships with Director, VP, and executive-level customer contacts
- Represent Mainline at industry events, conferences, customer meetings, and networking functions
- Assist leadership in forecasting future revenue opportunities and market demand
- Maintain accurate CRM records and pipeline reporting
- Provide monthly business development updates, opportunity tracking, and revenue forecasts
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years of telecommunications, utility, construction, or infrastructure industry experience
- Demonstrated success generating new revenue and managing customer relationships
- Existing industry network and relationships within fiber, telecom, broadband, utility, or construction markets
- Strong negotiation and presentation skills
- Ability to travel as required
- Proven ability to work independently and produce measurable results
- Preferred: Experience working with telecommunications providers, broadband operators, or utility companies
- Knowledge of underground and aerial fiber construction programs
- Experience managing multi-million-dollar customer accounts
- Experience with CRM systems and sales pipeline management
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Construction Management, or related field
