About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- You will build and further develop MAIA’s core product capabilities.
- Design, implement, and ship features from discovery through production launch.
- Build and iterate on RAG pipelines, retrieval strategies, and LLM integrations.
- Work closely with product, DevOps, and customer-facing teams.
- Contribute to engineering standards and participate in code reviews.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Significant senior-level experience as a Backend Engineer.
- Strong backend engineering skills in TypeScript or another strongly typed language (Go, Java, Rust).
- Deep experience designing and operating REST APIs in production systems.
- Strong SQL skills, ideally with PostgreSQL in production.
- Practical experience debugging production systems using observability tools such as Grafana and Sentry.
- Basic understanding of LLM and RAG applications.
