About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Evaluate and qualify suppliers (initial approval) and supplier production processes;
- Determine and coordinate action plans to address findings from audits;
- Carry out supplier development and qualification activities for materials and components to ensure quality, proposing corrective action plans in accordance with internal standards and specifications;
- Perform risk analyses and coordinate supplier improvement programs;
- Maintain the quality system by evaluating alternatives and discussing actions with approved suppliers, while ensuring compliance with applicable legal requirements;
- Coordinate APQP activities with raw material suppliers;
- Implement and review supplier evaluation procedures;
- Actively contribute in teams to develop and implement strategies across the supplier chain;
- Provide technical support to Purchasing in commercial negotiations;
- Provide technical support to production plants;
- Participate in internal audits of the quality system.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Production, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering or a related field;
- Advanced English (capable of conducting meetings with the global team);
- Knowledge of metallic or polymer component technologies;
- VDA 6.3 Supplier Auditor certification preferred;
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in Quality within the automotive industry;
- Knowledge of automotive quality standards and tools (IATF 16949, APQP, 8D, FMEA, SPC, PPAP/PPF);
- Experience auditing suppliers is a plus;
- Availability to travel;
- Availability to work in a hybrid format (4 days on-site and 1 remote) in Mogi Guaçu, SP, Brazil.
