About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Qualify all sales leads generated by marketing according to defined lead qualification criteria
  • Use phone, email, and social networking prospecting strategies to connect with prospective customers, identify needs and challenges, and qualify interest
  • Work with Account Executives to schedule discovery meetings with sales-ready leads and prospects
  • Use prospecting and marketing automation tools to maximize efficiency and effectiveness
  • Manage new contacts in Salesforce to maintain accurate records for long-term pipeline development
  • Provide friendly, knowledgeable service and build strong prospect relationships
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and build relationships across the organization
  • Focus primarily on inbound lead response, with additional outbound prospecting
  • Generate and qualify sales opportunities for Account Executives through inbound lead response and outbound prospecting

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 2+ years of experience in sales or customer service roles
  • University degree or College diploma in Business, Marketing, or equivalent
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Organized self-starter with excellent follow-through and demonstrated initiative
  • Goal-oriented with a strong desire to succeed
  • Comfortable with change
  • Strong analytical, relational, and negotiation skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Solid understanding of social media tools such as LinkedIn and Twitter
  • Proficiency in English and Spanish is strongly preferred for this bilingual role
  • Preferred location in or within proximity to the Kitchener-Waterloo region; local presence is important for team collaboration
  • Experience with a CRM system such as Salesforce is a nice-to-have
  • Familiarity with lead funnel processes, including lead generation, follow-up, and tracking, is a nice-to-have
  • Experience with lead prospecting software tools or chatbot monitoring is a nice-to-have
  • Satisfactory completion of a background check required for employment
