Blockchain Engineer

• Build highly scalable, highly performant, software that facilitates arbitrary code execution with strong isolation guarantees.
• Design and build systems that allow our AI models to interface with machines in various modes, interactive terminal, GUI applications, etc.
• Provision and operate high density compute and storage nodes (NVMe, high IOPS SSDs, high bandwidth networks), and build software that performs efficient load balancing, and resource utilization across them.
• Instrument and optimize end to end performance including storage IO, network bandwidth, CPU, memory, and endurance constraints.
• Develop APIs, self service platforms, and automation and tools so researchers and engineers can deploy and monitor workloads at scale.
• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues across OS, drivers, hardware, storage systems (local NVMe, block storage, NFS), networking, namespace isolation, and cloud or hybrid environments.
• Produce clean, documented code and developer workflows, and collaborate with SRE and security teams to ensure safe, reliable, and self serviceable compute offerings.

Distributed Systems Engineer – Secure Sandboxes

Procurement

• Own the vision, strategy, and execution for Magic's sourcing team as we grow.
• Build and manage a team of sourcers, including hiring, onboarding, coaching, and performance development.
• Create sustainable capacity plans for the function including team size, allocation models, workforce planning, and ramp expectations.
• Define, track, and report on sourcing KPIs, dashboards, and productivity metrics such as reachouts, conversion rates, funnel health, and passthroughs.
• Drive a rigorous testing and iteration culture by developing outreach experimentation frameworks, defining playbooks, and running systematic improvement cycles.
• Partner with leadership to create OKRs and build forecasting models for sourcing output.
• Operate as a top tier sourcer, particularly for highly technical or hard to fill roles.
• Manage pipelines across technical and non technical orgs and adapt strategies to each unique functional profile.
• Build strong relationships with Hiring Managers to deeply understand role needs, team dynamics, and long term talent strategy.
• Develop modular and scalable sourcing workflows, tools, and processes.
• Implement best practices in candidate research, market mapping, competitive intelligence, and outreach personalization.
• Partner closely with Recruiting Operations on tools, automation, data hygiene, and process optimization.
• Collaborate with Recruiters, People Ops, and Functional Leaders to align sourcing pipeline with company priorities.
• Provide market insights and talent landscape data to guide headcount planning and hiring strategy.
• Build resource plans to support new business units as Magic expands.

Sourcing Lead

Compliance

• Transform compliance and risk management capabilities through automation and engineering
• Build automation and integrations between GRC frameworks and security/engineering tools
• Lead automation-driven control assessment, evidence collection, and reporting processes
• Replace legacy GRC approaches with frameworks that avoid checkbox compliance and improve stakeholder experience
• Design and implement compliance-as-code frameworks, integrating security controls into infrastructure as code (IaC) and CI/CD pipelines
• Develop automated evidence collection, control testing, and reporting systems that eliminate manual audit preparation
• Help define GRC best practices for web3 governance DAOs and policy management of on-chain funds
• Create APIs and integrations between GRC platforms (Drata, Vanta, etc.) and security/engineering toolchains
• Work closely with Infrastructure, Engineering, and IT teams to embed security and compliance requirements into technical workflows
• Coordinate and track security-related audits including scope, stakeholder engagement, and deliverable timelines; provide guidance and advocacy on audit responses

Senior GRC Engineer

Backend Engineer

• Architect and implement backend features: robust Python APIs with FastAPI services, TypeScript node.js services leveraging Nitro AWS secure enclaves (TEE)
• Build, optimize, and scale backend services supporting millions of users
• Work closely with product and security teams to ensure systems meet Security and SOC 2/ISO/HIPAA-grade standards
• Design and integrate features that leverage the Newton policy protocol and help bring experiences that leverage the protocol to the masses
• Collaborate with protocol team to enable verifiable on-chain actions (powered by TEE + ZK proofs)
• Lead and mentor other engineers, drive code reviews, set best practices for maintainable, scalable architecture
• Ensure and enhance authentication flows (Email OTP, passkey, Web3 logins, session safety) in full-stack apps
• Contribute to TKMS secure enclave key management system, API Wallet Express, and new products leveraging Newton

Senior Software Engineer, Backend

Infrastructure Engineer

• Own and operate the platform that powers Magic's protocol and apps
• Design and run AWS-first, highly available systems that scale with real usage
• Turn infrastructure into code (Kubernetes, CDK/Terraform) and build CI/CD (GitHub Actions, CodePipeline)
• Build end-to-end observability—metrics, logs, traces, SLIs/SLOs—and lead incident response
• Harden and monitor clusters, manage secrets, and optimize cost and latency
• Partner with product and protocol teams to operate execution clients, validators, RPC/DA/indexing workloads in production
• Scout and evaluate DevOps/Web3 tooling, drive PoCs, and improve the paved-road
• Possible work with TEEs or blockchain infra at scale (bonus)
