About the role
- Provide coverage in short-term, surge and on-demand situations for military needs
- Provide full breadth of personal financial counseling services to service members and their families
- Education and counseling on financial services; one-on-one counseling; consultations; briefings; referrals
- Works with installation POC to ensure program meets needs
- Provides personal financial counseling and management services directly
- Assist service members in establishing spending plan for extended absences
- Develops and makes available informational financial materials
- Coordinates and provides a wide variety of Personal Financial Management classes/workshops across the military lifecycle
- Responds to requests for age-appropriate classes or seminars
- Utilize virtual counseling or electronic modes of communication; web-based chat; video-based communications; secure video conference
- Manage duty to warn per DoD protocol
- Communicate with leadership; participate in supervision; share trends
- Participate in in-services, quality improvement committees or other contract activities
- All other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required; may consider an associate degree plus 4 years' experience in lieu of bachelor's
- High school diploma with 6 years' experience in lieu of bachelor's
- 3+ years of financial counseling experience
- U.S. citizenship and fluent English; bilingual in English and Spanish if required by contract
- Certifications: AFC, CFP, or ChFC
- Combination of Education and Work Experience may be considered
