About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provides MFLC services including non-medical, short-term, walk-around counseling
  • Responsible for providing MFLC consultation and counseling services to military service members and their families
  • Works closely with the Regional Supervisor/Regional Director and installation Points of Contact (POC)
  • Delivers training and health and wellness presentations
  • Establishes and maintains working relationships with community resources
  • Participates in regular in-services/training and Quality Improvement committees
  • Provides MFLC response to critical incidents, surge and on-demand events
  • All other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Master's degree from an accredited graduate program in a relevant field of study
  • Valid unrestricted independent counseling license from a State, District of Columbia, US Territory or Commonwealth
  • Less than 2 years of post-licensure clinical experience
  • Intermediate-level competencies in technology and software (i.e., Microsoft Suite, Internet navigation, Smartphone/Tablet and application navigation, video-conferencing platform navigation)
  • Ability to engage and communicate with military members or children as assigned
  • Must be fluent in English
  • Ability to develop trusting, helping relationships
  • Ability to work with individuals and families from diverse racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds
  • Pass a National Agency Check and Inquiries (NACI) Clearance
  • Vehicle Operator's License Requirement
