About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

This role sits within the Data Analytics and Data Engineering team, serving as the cloud infrastructure authority for our enterprise data platform.
Partner closely with data engineers, analytics engineers, and business intelligence teams to ensure the cloud foundation powering our data ecosystem is secure, scalable, and built to last.
Play a critical role in shaping the AWS environment that drives data-informed decision making across the enterprise.
Serve as the primary technical interface to business leaders, senior executives, and product teams — leading design thinking, establishing cloud strategy, and driving cloud transformation across infrastructure, platforms, applications, and data services.
Champion secure-by-design principles, lead vulnerability remediation, and establish engineering best practices that elevate the capabilities of engineering teams across IT.
Mentor, guide, and teach engineers across IT as they solve and navigate complex problems in a changing technology landscape, elevating capabilities through design reviews, knowledge sharing, and hands-on coaching.
Ensure standards and procedures are followed during the design and implementation of cloud and information systems, defining improvements that increase reliability, security, and performance across cloud platforms.

Requirements

What you’ll need

7–10 years of infrastructure or software engineering experience, with 5+ years focused on cloud technologies, platforms, and transformation across AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Demonstrated experience leading cloud transformation strategy, including migrating enterprise workloads from traditional data center infrastructure to hybrid or fully cloud-enabled architectures.
Hands-on experience with cloud security best practices including least-privilege access, encryption, secrets management, network segmentation, and vulnerability remediation.
Experience with DevOps/SecOps methodologies and integrating security practices throughout the software development and infrastructure lifecycle.
Demonstrated ability to mentor and coach engineers, elevating team capabilities across a broad IT organization.
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present to and influence senior executives and business leaders.
Critical thinker with demonstrated problem-solving and root cause analysis skills.
