About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Serve as the cloud infrastructure authority for our enterprise data platform
Partner closely with data engineers, analytics engineers, and business intelligence teams
Shape the AWS environment that drives data-informed decision-making across the enterprise
Lead design thinking, establishing cloud strategy, and driving cloud transformation across infrastructure, platforms, applications, and data services
Champion secure-by-design principles, lead vulnerability remediation, and establish engineering best practices
Mentor, guide, and teach engineers across IT
Ensure standards and procedures are followed during the design and implementation of cloud and information systems
Act as liaison to business units on changing needs and provide regular status updates to management

Requirements

What you’ll need

7–10 years of infrastructure or software engineering experience
5+ years focused on cloud technologies, platforms, and transformation across AWS, Azure, or GCP
Demonstrated experience leading cloud transformation strategy
Hands-on experience with cloud security best practices including least-privilege access, encryption, secrets management, network segmentation, and vulnerability remediation
Experience with DevOps/SecOps methodologies
Demonstrated ability to mentor and coach engineers
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Critical thinker with demonstrated problem-solving and root cause analysis skills
