About the role
- Oversee daily operations as outlined by management
- Answer questions and resolve problems related to billing operations
- Communicate and coordinate timely communication of identified problems
- Supervises Billing Specialists on all billing job functions
- Monitors Billing Queues ensuring scheduled dispenses have been processed accordingly
- Performs quality oversight for assigned claims
- Recognizes and reports to Billing Manager system problems
- Assists in resolving billing discrepancies with other departmental staff
- Participates in the interview, selection and hiring of employees as needed
- Provides team orientation and training to new staff
- Monitors employee attendance and punctuality
- Performs duties of the billing specialists as needed
- Monitors Billing workloads, submissions, and reviews
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in billing or another relevant area
- Intermediate level Excel
- Working knowledge of Ten-Key by touch
- Type average 40+ WPM
- Must be detail oriented
- Experience deciphering contract language
