About the role
- Provide personal financial counseling services to military service members and families
- Deliver one-on-one counseling, consultations, briefings, presentations, and referrals
- Coordinate and provide Personal Financial Management classes/workshops across military lifecycle
- Utilize virtual counseling and electronic communication methods as authorized
- Manage duty to warn situations per DoD protocol
- Communicate with leadership, participate in supervision, training, quality improvement
- Provide coverage in short-term, surge, and on-demand situations to meet military needs
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required (or associate +4 years experience, or high school +6 years)
- 3+ years of financial counseling experience
- Must be a U.S. citizen and speak fluent English
- If required by the contract, must be bilingual in English and Spanish
- Able to obtain a favorably adjudicated Tier 2 investigation
- Must be able to pass Congressionally Mandated Disclosures for Organizational Conflicts of Interest (OCI) process
- Must have one of these certifications: AFC, CFP, or ChFC
- Driver License (valid in state) may be required
