About the role
- Exercise a strong knowledge of ELINT systems and subsystems to develop system and subsystem specifications
- Conduct analysis, subsystem analysis, architecture/subsystem decomposition, requirements and algorithm design, implementation, integration, verification, and maintenance of ground based ELINT and EW systems
- Inform and improve hardware and software specifications and back-end signal processing of next generation RF systems including ELINT, ISR, radar, and EW sensors
- Work with intel and electronic warfare analysts to characterize adversary electronic orders of battle and analyze threat radar systems and blue force detection/interception capabilities
- Coordinate and support SIGINT and EW operations including planning, collection, processing, analysis, dissemination, and reporting of PL SSW products
- Translate Army Capability Manager requirements into actionable goals and system requirements for effective collection strategies
- Lead design, development, and implementation of multiple platforms, peripherals, and applications using applicable technologies and software engineering methodologies
- Apply analytical problem solving for complex issues and lead interactions with key stakeholders to drive design, implementation, integration, and deployment
- Serve as subject matter expert, mentor and review lower-grade personnel work for quality and accuracy
- Apply technical experience and leadership throughout all phases of acquisition and manage cross-functional teams
- Remain abreast of technical advancements and participate in technical advising with key stakeholders
Requirements
- Clearance: Active Secret Clearance
- U.S. Citizenship (stated: U.S. Citizenship is required for most positions)
- Bachelors Degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, physics, or similar field
- 15 or more years of combined operational experience in SIGINT and EW systems
- Experience with engineering assignments supporting design, development, and acquisition of EW systems and/or SIGINT systems
- Experience with systems engineering technical and technical management processes
- Experience developing Concepts of Operations (CONOPS) and/or Concept of Employment (CONEMP)
- Experience developing Requirements Traceability and Verification Matrix (RTVM) for System Requirements Document (SRD)
- Experience developing and reviewing systems engineering requirements (SRD, SSS, SSDD)
- Experience with participating in critical program information (CPI) assessments and Risk Management Framework (RMF) activities
- Experience with ELINT systems and subsystems
- Experience with developing and implementing innovative solutions
- Ability to work in office/field/lab environments
- Excellent organizational, problem solving, and strategic thinking skills
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Ability to work on multi-functional teams
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines
- Ability to travel 25% to Army and contractor locations within CONUS
- Position contingent upon meeting physical and medical requirements
- Preferred: TS/SCI, GEOINT, MASINT, technical signals exploitation, modeling and simulation, geolocation, intelligence reporting, JEL, JICD4.2, remote ops, systems integration, experience working with government and military customers
- Preferred: Masters Degree or Ph.D. in related field
