About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Perform regular maintenance and repair work on laboratory equipment and systems to ensure optimal performance and extended service life
  • Identify and analyze technical faults in devices and systems, troubleshoot, and carry out necessary repairs
  • Install and commission new equipment, including training laboratory personnel in correct use and operation
  • Provide technical assistance and advice to customers, ensuring a high level of service and satisfaction
  • Accurately record all work performed, including service reports and technical documentation
  • Manage procurement, replacement, and inventory of spare parts as required
  • Ensure all equipment complies with relevant quality standards and regulatory requirements
  • Coordinate delivery and installation of equipment to laboratories or medical practices
  • Support the sales team by participating in national trade fairs and conferences and maintaining close collaboration with sales colleagues

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Ideally based in the Freiburg (DE) or Vorarlberg (AT) region
  • Completed training in electrical engineering, medical technology, mechatronics, or a comparable technical qualification
  • Proven experience in maintenance and repair of laboratory diagnostic equipment, preferably within the medical technology or laboratory sector
  • Strong technical aptitude with the ability to quickly understand and diagnose complex systems
  • Self-motivated, solution-focused approach and a high degree of personal initiative
  • Excellent communication skills when engaging with clients and collaborating within a team
  • Willingness to travel extensively across the UK and flexibility to support a variety of customer sites as required
  • Solid IT proficiency, including MS Office, service software, and experience with laboratory or practice information systems
