Technical Service Engineer – Switzerland
MADx – Macro Array Diagnostics GmbHTechnical Service Engineer maintaining and repairing laboratory diagnostic equipment in Switzerland. Providing customer support and technical assistance within a dynamic, fast-growing company.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform regular maintenance and repair work on laboratory equipment and systems to ensure optimal performance and extended service life
- Identify and analyze technical faults in devices and systems, troubleshoot, and carry out necessary repairs
- Install and commission new equipment, including training laboratory personnel in correct use and operation
- Provide technical assistance and advice to customers, ensuring a high level of service and satisfaction
- Accurately record all work performed, including service reports and technical documentation
- Manage procurement, replacement, and inventory of spare parts as required
- Ensure all equipment complies with relevant quality standards and regulatory requirements
- Coordinate delivery and installation of equipment to laboratories or medical practices
- Support the sales team by participating in national trade fairs and conferences and maintaining close collaboration with sales colleagues
Requirements
What you’ll need- Ideally based in the Freiburg (DE) or Vorarlberg (AT) region
- Completed training in electrical engineering, medical technology, mechatronics, or a comparable technical qualification
- Proven experience in maintenance and repair of laboratory diagnostic equipment, preferably within the medical technology or laboratory sector
- Strong technical aptitude with the ability to quickly understand and diagnose complex systems
- Self-motivated, solution-focused approach and a high degree of personal initiative
- Excellent communication skills when engaging with clients and collaborating within a team
- Willingness to travel extensively across the UK and flexibility to support a variety of customer sites as required
- Solid IT proficiency, including MS Office, service software, and experience with laboratory or practice information systems
