About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Drive new customer acquisition across a portfolio of named Federal Government agencies
  • Develop and close new business opportunities
  • Achieve sales quota by fostering portfolio relationships and developing solutions that deliver desired business outcomes
  • Build strong, long-term relationships with stakeholders at multiple levels
  • Identify customer needs and work with technical and engineering teams to design and present solutions
  • Manage pipeline, forecasts and sales process through the CRM
  • Contribute to marketing activities, events, and government engagement initiatives
  • Collaborate with Account Directors, technical consultants, and other internal teams to close deals
  • Support collective sales targets and contribute to a strong sales culture
  • Own the sales process end-to-end while working with technical, commercial and product teams

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Must be an Australian citizen to be eligible to obtain a security clearance
  • Minimum 5 years of direct, successful technology sales experience
  • Strong record of overachievement against quota
  • Proven ability to build, grow and maintain government customer relationships within the federal government space
  • Experience developing business cases and selling complex solutions to senior executives (CIO, CFO, CEO)
  • Strong commercial acumen and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, take ownership, and deliver results
  • Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Business, Technology or a related field is desirable
  • Exposure to recognised sales methodologies (Miller Heiman, SPIN, Challenger, etc.) is desirable
  • Strong research skills and ability to stay across new technology and networking trends
  • Experience going from low-revenue to high-growth accounts
