Key responsibilities & impact

Assist managing editors with the preparation of materials for key seasonal meetings
Input data for new acquisitions and maintain title information in title management system
Coordinate and distribute information relating to sales materials, as well as book assets such as typeset passes and art
Attend weekly supply chain meeting and traffic reprint updates for all imprints, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery to production
Coordinate cataloging-in-publication data applications to the Library of Congress with editorial assistants, and submit preassigned control number applications for all remaining titles for each season
Act as production editor on select titles as needed

What you’ll need

1–2 years experience in a fast-paced publishing environment
Experience proofreading graphic novels preferred
Working knowledge of illustrated book process
Excellent computer skills and verbal and written communication skills
Basic proofreading experience preferred
Digital markup experience preferred
Bachelor's degree
