About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Produce temporary works designs for excavation support, propping, formwork and falsework
- Prepare temporary works designs for groundworks and eventually other product schemes
- Check designs and drawings in accordance with BS5975:2019
- Attend client meetings and carry out site visits
- Review design briefs provided by the sales team through Launchpad and provide feedback when more information is required
- Manage own workload
- Contribute to continuous improvement projects agreed by the Engineering Director
- Collaborate with sales and operations to support customers through engineering excellence
Requirements
What you’ll need- HND or degree in civil/structural engineering
- At least 3 years’ experience designing temporary works
- Demonstrable technical experience in structural or geotechnical design
- Sound understanding of temporary works
- Experience designing temporary works for groundworks and/or building refurbishment propping
- Experience designing formwork and falsework
- Good understanding of CDM 2015
- Experience using AutoCAD 2D and/or REVIT
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and changing environment
