About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Write quantitative and statistical functions in Python inside the client's existing plug-in framework
- Build and validate models, including signals, statistical analysis, and quantitative methods applied to financial data
- Run work against the framework's test suite and deliver against defined project scopes
- Work on AWS-hosted infrastructure
Requirements
What you’ll need- US Citizenship or Permanent Resident Status
- 2+ years of experience writing Python for quantitative or statistical modeling
- Experience building and applying models, not merely scripting or data cleaning
- Strong mathematics and statistics knowledge, including probability, distributions, regression, and time series
- Ability to explain statistical methods and the reasoning behind them
- Applied experience working with financial or market data
- Working knowledge of AWS
- Ability to independently execute defined problems with minimal oversight
