About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop and expand business in Austria and Eastern Europe by acquiring new customers and maintaining existing relationships.
  • Conduct technical sales discussions to identify customer requirements.
  • Translate customer requirements into qualified projects.
  • Build and actively manage a CRM-supported sales pipeline.
  • Increase project-to-order conversion through disciplined opportunity management.
  • Regular customer visits and virtual meetings, including preparation of visit reports.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related natural science.
  • At least 3 years of experience in sales or in closely related roles.
  • Experience in at least one of the following market segments: paints and coatings, construction chemicals, printing inks, adhesives, or sales of specialty additives.
  • Practical experience marketing technical products, including customer training on correct application.
  • Friendly and committed communication style, with negotiation skills across different hierarchy levels.
  • Business-fluent English; knowledge of an Eastern European language is an advantage.
  • Structured, self-motivated working style with strong teamwork skills.
  • Willingness to travel >50%, including multi-day trips abroad.
