About the role
- Lead daily operations of the POC across 50+ stores in Johannesburg, Cape Town, Eastern Cape, and Limpopo
- Drive sales across cash, finance, and mobile activations, ensuring targets are met
- Oversee merchandising, in-store experience, and customer engagement
- Manage and mentor a core team of 4–8 staff and guide in-store promoters and agents
- Track KPIs (finance vs. cash mix, SIM activations, revenue per store) and provide operational insights
- Act as the go-to liaison for retail partner stakeholders and coordinate with finance, logistics, marketing, and legal teams
- Capture lessons learned, identify growth levers, and feed into the business case for nationwide expansion in 2026
- Report to the Director, International Strategy & Growth
- 6-month proof-of-concept engagement with scale potential
Requirements
- 5+ years in channel management, retail operations, or telecoms/fintech sales
- Track record of leading multi-site rollouts
- Strong execution focus and ability to translate strategy into measurable sales outcomes
- Experience managing diverse teams (10+ staff) across multiple locations
- Proficient in sales reporting tools, CRM systems, and Excel
- Knowledge of telecoms, mobile money, or device financing is a plus
- Deep understanding of South African retail and telecoms landscapes
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
