About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Helping to deliver meaningful improvements across the business by engaging with stakeholders
- Identifying risk and control improvements across a range of business functions
- Attending meetings with auditees to develop an understanding of business processes
- Collating and reviewing information to help identify key risks and controls
- Preparing the key planning documentation
- Travelling to different sites when necessary to meet relevant staff
- Performing audit testing across different business areas
- Discussing the results of audit testing with the Field Manager
- Raising exceptions to inform observations and/or drafting observations
- Participating actively in any Audit Community to which you belong
Requirements
What you’ll need- At least 3 years experience in financial services or internal/external audit
- A base level of understanding in the workings of both a Financial Services Group and an Internal Audit function
- A good understanding of the behaviours required to succeed in a respectful workplace
- An ability to work effectively in a team and contribute to understanding and assessing key operational processes
- Confidence to undertake specific audit tests without supervision
- Confidence to challenge and critically assess the effectiveness of established procedures and controls
- An ability to articulate effectively both orally and in writing
