About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own day-to-day IT procurement operations — hardware and laptop purchasing, purchase orders, supplier coordination, and delivery and asset handoff. You are the reliable operational owner the business can depend on.
- Build and run SaaS cost management — maintain a complete inventory of SaaS applications and licenses, own the renewal calendar, monitor usage and spend, and surface right-sizing and consolidation opportunities before money is wasted.
- Co-develop IT procurement categories with IT leadership — structure spend into clear categories, and help define per-category sourcing strategy, preferred-vendor frameworks, and purchasing standards.
- Prepare and run vendor and contract negotiations — build the business case, drive renewals and new contracts to closure, and capture savings. Senior leadership backs you on high-value or complex deals.
- Own procurement governance and process — the PO and approval workflow, spend visibility, vendor master data, and a single source of truth for contracts and renewal dates.
- Partner across functions — with Finance and RevOps on SaaS budget, forecasting, and cost allocation; with Security and Legal on vendor risk, data processing agreements, and compliance.
- Make value visible — track and report delivered savings, cost avoidance, and the renewal pipeline to leadership.
- Turn ad-hoc into repeatable — convert informal, person-dependent purchasing into scalable process that the organization can rely on without heroics.
Requirements
What you’ll need- 3–5 years of experience in procurement, vendor/supplier management, IT sourcing, or a related commercial or operations role. Exposure to software or SaaS spend is a strong plus.
- An ownership mindset — you take end-to-end responsibility for outcomes, drive toward decisions, and build process rather than only executing handed-down tasks. This is the single most important quality for the role.
- Commercial fundamentals: negotiation, building a business case, reading and comparing contracts, and thinking in terms of total cost of ownership.
- Analytical comfort with spend data — strong Excel and ideally Power BI; able to build and maintain a renewal calendar and savings tracking.
- Structured and proactive — you bring order to ambiguity and follow through to completion.
- Strong communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including senior leadership and external vendors.
- Hunger to grow — you want to develop into broader category strategy and lead high-value negotiations, and you will get the mentorship and support to get there.
- Plus: experience in a SaaS or technology company; familiarity with procurement, contract, or SaaS-management tooling; an understanding of software licensing models;
- Fluent English (Finnish is an advantage).

Comp & perks- A competitive monthly base salary in line with the role and the Tampere market.
- Performance bonus — an annual bonus of up to one month’s salary, tied to the procurement savings and cost avoidance you deliver.
