About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Define and lead the association’s Health and Advocacy strategy in coordination with the Executive Director, operational departments and governing bodies.
Ensure alignment of priorities, support to teams, and institutional positions.
Represent Médecins du Monde with partners, networks, institutions and national and international coordination forums.
Supervise and support a team of department heads and support functions, promoting cooperation, engagement and skills development.
Contribute to the association’s overall strategy, governance activities and to securing funding for actions led by the department.
Manage the department’s budget and oversee several high-impact, cross-cutting projects and initiatives.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Master’s degree (or equivalent, Bac+5), ideally in public health or a field related to the department’s scope. Professional health training is a major asset.
At least 15 years of professional experience, including several years in senior management, team leadership and health project management.
Proven ability to define a strategic vision, lead change and bring together diverse stakeholders.
Excellent analytical, representational and influencing skills.
Full professional proficiency in French and English, both written and spoken. Spanish is a plus.
Proficient with Microsoft Office.
