About the role

  • Control and ensure compliance with donor rules throughout the entire project cycle: provide technical support to HQ and field operational teams, review and validate donor contractual documents (contracts, amendments, narrative and financial reporting)
  • Study, update, explain, disseminate and maintain donor administrative rules related to funding contracts (funding requests, project management, reports…)
  • Create, update, consolidate and circulate donor summary documents
  • Advise operational teams in fundraising and in developing project financing plans (prospective donor mapping, strategic selection of donors…)
  • Provide technical support for assembling funding applications, and review and occasionally draft project proposals
  • Inform and train field staff and Desks on donor procedures, tools, contracts and rules
  • Monitor calls for proposals, news, policies and guidelines from donors
  • Advise teams on donor rules and audits
  • Coordinate project submissions when they involve multiple units and/or multiple countries
  • Maintain a consolidated follow-up of donor contracts (dates, cash flow, reporting, financial and contractual information…), distribute information and alert operational staff and line managers
  • Participate in donor meetings and/or inter-NGO working groups on donor-related topics

Requirements

  • You hold a Master’s-level degree (Bac+5) such as from a business school, IEP or a university (professional master’s, MBA, etc.) in management
  • You have significant prior experience (3–4 years) in the humanitarian sector, including substantial international field experience, preferably in administration / donor relations roles
  • You know, understand and can identify institutional donor cycles and procedures
  • You are recognized for your ability to draft narrative proposals, reports and amendment notes, your capacity to plan and coordinate a project submission, and to read and understand a donor budget
  • You enjoy teamwork and cross-functional collaboration
  • You are proficient in Microsoft Office
  • You are fluent in French and English, both written and spoken
