About the role

  • Report to the APAC Business Development Director and develop/execute business development strategy for India.
  • Identify growth opportunities and establish meaningful connections with potential clients.
  • Serve as primary point of contact for prospective clients; lead early-stage conversations and negotiate deals to completion.
  • Leverage established network to prospect and engage potential clients in key sectors.
  • Attend industry events to build connections and stay updated on market trends.
  • Develop and implement consistent outreach strategy to maintain a healthy sales pipeline and secure meetings.
  • Build and sustain strong relationships with key decision-makers to provide tailored advertising and performance marketing solutions.
  • Prepare and deliver customized sales presentations, case studies, and proposals articulating M+C Saatchi Performance’s value proposition.
  • Oversee sales pipeline from lead generation to contract negotiation and closure.
  • Collaborate with media, creative, data, marketing, and specialist teams for seamless campaign execution.
  • Manage contract coordination between clients, legal teams, management, and finance.
  • Utilize CRM software (HubSpot) to maintain accurate records of client interactions and pipeline activities.
  • Provide regular reporting and projections on sales activities, revenue performance, and market conditions.
  • Meet or exceed annual revenue targets through effective lead conversion.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior business development team members.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in business development or sales in the digital sales sector.
  • Experience in an agency is beneficial but not essential.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and revenue goals.
  • Deep understanding of digital marketing market trends and various media channels.
  • Proficiency in tech solutions relevant to the market.
  • Proven experience in a senior business development or sales role within digital marketing, advertising, or a related industry.
  • An established network of decision-makers and influencers in India’s marketing or business sectors.
  • Strong understanding of performance marketing and the digital advertising ecosystem in India.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Resilient attitude; ability to handle rejection or setbacks professionally.
  • Results-driven mindset with a track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets.
  • Highly self-motivated and proactive; able to work independently.
  • Experience with CRM/sales software such as HubSpot.
  • Strong presentation and public speaking skills.
  • Tenacious and determined in pursuing leads and opportunities.
