About the role
- Develop and implement comprehensive test plans and strategies for both manual and automated testing.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand product requirements and design detailed test cases.
- Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks for UI and API testing; write and execute automated test scripts.
- Perform thorough manual testing of new features; identify, document, and track bugs and defects; conduct exploratory testing.
- Ensure software quality through continuous testing and validation; review code and conduct peer reviews.
- Mentor junior SDETs and QA engineers; stay updated with industry trends and implement best practices to improve testing processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in software testing with a focus on both manual and automated testing.
- Proven experience in developing and maintaining UI and API automation frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with testing tools such as Selenium, Postman, JUnit, TestNG, or similar.
- Strong knowledge of programming languages such as Java, Python, or C#.
- Experience writing and executing automated test scripts using industry-standard tools and frameworks.
- Experience performing manual testing, exploratory testing, and tracking bugs and defects.
- Experience reviewing code, conducting peer reviews, and mentoring junior SDETs/QA engineers.
