About the role

  • Manage day-to-day accounting across multiple entities — including journals, bank reconciliations, AP/AR, and monthly & annual financial closes
  • Oversee billing and revenue operations, including Stripe workflows and enterprise billing arrangements
  • Own payroll and statutory compliance across our Australian and international entities
  • Maintain accurate general ledgers and support consolidations across multiple entities
  • Partner closely with our FP&A Lead on reporting, audit preparation, and board materials
  • Continuously improve financial processes, controls, and systems as we scale
  • Bring a proactive, problem-solving mindset to building foundational finance capability in a fast-growing startup

Requirements

  • 3–4 years’ experience in accounting or financial operations
  • Experience with Stripe and/or enterprise billing (either is great — both is a plus)
  • Strong understanding of multi-entity accounting, SaaS billing, revenue recognition, financial closes, and payroll
  • Confident using Xero and Excel
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a structured, analytical approach
  • A start-up mindset: resourceful, proactive, and comfortable building new processes from scratch
  • Someone who cares deeply about accuracy, clarity, and doing things the right way
