About the role
- Manage finance and accounting functions, including budgeting, audit processes, and month-end close, in compliance with U.S. GAAP accounting standards.
- Oversee daily accounting operations, including General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Payroll, Invoicing, Fixed Assets, Collections, Monthly Reconciliations, and Sales and Use Tax.
- Participate in and manage accounting operations, systems, and processes, setting and attaining goals while managing special projects.
- Maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for accounting and finance functions.
- Prepare and oversee financial reporting for internal, corporate, and peer group requirements.
- Take an integral role in customer billing processes, including monthly and annual price changes, billing-related incentives, and commissions.
- Liaise with banks, landlords, vendors, and suppliers.
- Provide leadership as both an individual contributor and project leader within a high-growth and entrepreneurial environment.
- Interface with state and federal agencies to ensure compliance with tax regulations and employment-related matters.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Associate's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP accounting principles be able to apply and support U.S GAAP-compliant accounting practices.
- Experience managing various accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and financial reporting.
- Proven problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, and a keen eye for detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and manage relationships with key business stakeholders.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Previous leadership experience preferred (interns, direct reports).
- Experience in the Managed Service Provider (MSP) space is a plus.
