About the role
- Ensure environmental compliance with state and federal regulations
- Interact with operations to ensure understanding of regulatory requirements
- Serve as subject matter expert for assigned units
- Liaison with regulatory agencies
- Complete and submit environmental reports
- Interpret and communicate regulatory requirements
- Develop and maintain environmental management systems
- Mentor junior environmental professionals
Requirements
- Bachelors' degree in Chemical Engineering or related technical discipline
- 8 years' relevant environmental experience
- Experience in the chemical manufacturing industry preferred
- Significant experience with MACT and Texas regulations
- Working knowledge of the environmental regulatory process
- Experience representing a company to regulatory agencies
- Excellent written/oral communication skills
- Proficiency in driving results, interpersonal capability, integrity, and dealing with ambiguity
